END UP

일련의 상황안에서 어떤상태/상황에 이르게 됐다를 이야기할때 쓸수 있다.

추가설명
- end up 과 의미와 어감, 쓰임새와 활용 빈도가 아주 비슷한 구동사가 있는데 바로  wind up 입니다. 과거형은 wound up 이며 end up 에 비해 less formal(덜 포멀)한 표현이라는 것 외에는 차이가 거의 없습니다 😀

- end up 은 그 자체로 부정적인 맥락에서만 쓰인다는 규칙은 없지만 [ 계획하지 않았던 / 예상하지 못했던 / 원하지 않았던 ] 결과에 대해서 말을 할 때 많이 쓰이는 것은 맞습니다. 그래서 부정적인 맥락에서 많이 쓰이는 것은 사실이지만 활용이 그런 맥락에 국한되지는 않습니다.

- After the party, somehow, we all ended up at my place.
- She ended up in a hospital.
